What is the difference between a trunk and a spinner?

A trunk is narrower and deeper than a regular suitcase. The Trunk 74 is 41 cm wide and 37 cm deep. The Lite-Box Alu Spinner 76 is 51 cm wide and 28 cm deep. The deep shape easily fits bulkier items side by side, such as shoes or a winter coat.

How much fits in the Lite-Box Alu Trunk 74?

The suitcase has a capacity of 93 litres, and Samsonite classifies it as large checked luggage. The brand gives an average packed weight of around 23 kg. Empty, the trunk weighs 7.1 kg. Check with your airline how much your checked luggage may weigh.

How is the Lite-Box Alu Trunk 74 organised inside?

Inside there is an upper and a lower compartment, both with packing straps. Two removable dividers each have a large zip pocket. On the outside you will find handles on the top and side, and four smooth-running wheels. The personalisation label makes your suitcase easy to recognise on the baggage carousel.

Material and care

The shell is made of aluminium. Corner reinforcements made of anodised aluminium protect the edges. With use, aluminium picks up small dents and scratches, and that is normal. Clean the trunk with a damp cloth and mild soapy water, without abrasive cleaners. Let it dry thoroughly and store it open. Samsonite carries out repairs in around 70 countries.

Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from the Lite-Box Alu Trunk 80? The Trunk 80 is 80 cm high and has a capacity of 106 litres. Both have the same width and depth of 41 x 37 cm.
