Samsonite Lite-Box Alu Spinner 69: medium aluminium suitcase with 71 litres

The Samsonite Lite-Box Alu Spinner 69 is a medium checked suitcase made of aluminium, measuring 69 x 47 x 27 cm with a capacity of 71 litres. It has a two-point closure with a TSA combination lock, four double wheels, a double telescopic handle and corner reinforcements made of anodised aluminium. Available in Aluminium.

How much fits in the Lite-Box Alu Spinner 69?

Samsonite classifies the Spinner 69 as medium checked luggage. The brand gives an average packed weight of around 15 kg. The suitcase itself weighs 6.6 kg. Include that weight if your airline sets a limit for checked luggage.

How does the Lite-Box Alu Spinner 69 close and roll?

The suitcase has no zip, but a two-point closure. The combination lock sits in the closure and has a TSA function, so airport security in the United States can open it without forcing it. The four double wheels swivel in every direction. You pull the suitcase by a double telescopic handle.

How is the Lite-Box Alu Spinner 69 organised inside?

The suitcase opens into an upper and a lower compartment, both with packing straps. Two removable dividers each have a large zip pocket. The inside is lined. On the outside there are handles on the top and side, plus a label you can use to personalise the suitcase.

Material and care

The shell is made of aluminium, and the corners are reinforced with anodised aluminium. With use, aluminium can pick up small dents and scratches; that is part of the material. Clean the outside with a damp cloth and a little mild soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Store the suitcase dry and open. Samsonite offers repairs in around 70 countries.
