The Wandr HiPump is an electric air pump made of impact-resistant ABS plastic that weighs 100 grams. It extracts air from vacuum bags, inflates and has a built-in light. The pump moves 180 litres of air per minute at a pressure of 4 kPa, and you charge it via USB-C. Available in Orange.
Put your clothes in a vacuum bag or compression bag and place the HiPump on the valve. The pump sucks the air out, so your clothes become flatter and take up less space in your suitcase. This also works with thick winter clothing, such as a down jacket or a woollen jumper. The HiPump fits bags with a standard valve.
The built-in 1600 mAh battery runs for about 30 minutes non-stop. That is enough for around 60 compressions, so you do not have to keep charging it while travelling. Charging is via USB-C, so you can use the same cable as for many phones.
Besides compressing, the HiPump also blows air in. This lets you inflate an air mattress, a swim ring or a travel pillow. You use the built-in light as a torch, for example at the campsite or in a dark hotel room.
The housing is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic and has a compact, cylindrical shape. Clean the pump with a dry or slightly damp cloth and keep water out of the openings and the USB-C port. Store it in a dry place and do not use abrasive cleaners.
Does the Wandr HiPump also work with vacuum bags from other brands? Yes, the HiPump fits vacuum bags and compression bags with a standard valve. Before use, check that the valve of your bag is a standard size.
