Travelite Air Stripe S Expandable cabin suitcase: expandable hard-shell suitcase from 40 to 47 litres
The Travelite Air Stripe S Expandable (7000345) is a hard-shell polypropylene cabin suitcase measuring 55 x 39 x 23 cm, with a capacity of 40 litres. When you open the expandable pleat, it becomes 26 cm deep and the capacity increases to 47 litres. The suitcase weighs 2.7 kg and rolls on 4 double wheels. Available in Black, Red, Navy, Green, Lavender and Off-white.
Does the Air Stripe S Expandable fit as cabin luggage?
With the zipper closed, the suitcase measures 55 x 39 x 23 cm. Travelite designed it as a cabin suitcase. However, the permitted dimensions vary by airline, so check them before you leave. With the pleat open, it is 26 cm deep.
How does the expandable pleat work?
An extra zipper runs around the suitcase. Open it to release the pleat, making the suitcase 3 cm deeper. The capacity then increases from 40 to 47 litres. This gives you room for extra clothes or purchases on the return journey without needing a second bag.
How is the suitcase organised?
Inside, packing straps keep your clothes in place. There is also a separate laundry compartment for worn clothes. This suitcase does not have a laptop compartment. The suitcase closes with a zipper and has an integrated lock.
What is the Air Stripe made of and how do you maintain it?
The shell is made of polypropylene. This material is lightweight and flexes slightly on impact. The lockable telescopic handle is made of lightweight metal, and there is a handle on the top and bottom. Clean the shell with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a little mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Leave the suitcase open to dry before storing it.
