The Ryan by The Chesterfield Brand is a laptop bag made of wax pull-up leather, measuring 33 x 42 x 14 cm and offering 19,4 litres of capacity. It has three main compartments that fit A4 documents, a padded 17-inch laptop compartment and an extra-long, detachable shoulder strap. Available in brown, cognac and black.
The padded laptop compartment measures 41 x 30 cm and is suitable for a laptop up to 17 inches. The three main compartments are large enough for A4 documents and folders, keeping your laptop, papers and belongings separate. Inside, you will find an extra zipped pocket, a phone pocket and an organiser for pens and cards. There is also a zipped pocket on the front and on the back.
You can carry the bag by the two handles or over your shoulder. The shoulder strap is extra long, adjustable and detachable. The Ryan weighs 2,07 kg when empty.
The Ryan is the roomiest of the two laptop bags: it has three main compartments, 19,4 litres of capacity and a 17-inch laptop compartment. The Calvi by The Chesterfield Brand is much slimmer, with a depth of just 7 cm, one zipped main compartment and space for a laptop up to 16 inches. If you carry a lot of documents alongside your laptop, the Ryan is the better choice.
Wax pull-up leather is treated with oils and wax. It feels soft and supple. You can rub away light scratches and scuff marks with your fingers, as this redistributes the wax. Wipe the bag with a dry cloth and apply leather wax from time to time. Let a wet bag dry at room temperature, not on a radiator.
Will my laptop fit in the Ryan? The laptop compartment measures 41 x 30 cm. If the outer dimensions of your laptop fit within these measurements, it will fit in the compartment.
