The Samsonite Upscape is a hard-shell carry-on suitcase made of polypropylene. It measures H 55 x W 40 x D 20 cm and has a capacity of 39 litres. When expanded, it is 23 cm deep and holds 45 litres. Can the Upscape 55 x 40 x 20 be taken on board as hand luggage?
When closed, the suitcase measures 55 x 40 x 20 cm, a size accepted by many airlines for hand luggage. When expanded, it is 23 cm deep, so it may no longer fit in every cabin. For this reason, use the expansion mainly when checking in the suitcase. Always check your airline's current rules before your flight.
How is the Upscape organised inside?
Inside, there are two closable compartments with packing straps. This keeps your clothes in place and separates the contents of both halves. The lining is made of 100% recycled material.
How do you move the Samsonite Upscape?
The suitcase rolls on four smooth double wheels, allowing you to take it upright beside you. You can adjust the telescopic handle to a height that feels comfortable for you. Use the handles on the top and side to lift it into the overhead locker above your seat.
Material and care
The shell is made of polypropylene, a strong and lightweight synthetic material. The Upscape is made in Europe. Wipe the shell clean with a damp cloth and mild soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they can cause scratches. Then leave the suitcase open to dry at room temperature.

How do you secure the Upscape when travelling? The suitcase has a combination lock with a TSA function. During an inspection in the United States, customs can open the lock with a TSA key without damaging it.
