The Samsonite Proxis Spinner 55 Expandable is a hardside cabin suitcase made of Roxkin. It measures H 55 x W 40 x D 20/23 cm and holds 38/44 litres. The suitcase has four double wheels, a TSA combination lock and a waterproof zip. Available in Climbing Ivy Green and Silver.
At H 55 x W 40 x D 20 cm, the suitcase fits within the hand luggage size of many airlines. When you open the expansion zip, it becomes 23 cm deep. That may be too large for the cabin. Before your flight, check your airline's current rules.
Closed, the suitcase holds 38 litres. With the expansion zip, that grows to 44 litres, about 3 cm of extra depth. Inside are two closable compartments with packing straps. They keep your clothes neatly in place and separate clean clothes from worn ones.
The four double wheels turn in every direction. So you easily push or pull the suitcase beside you through the terminal. The telescopic handle and the handles on the top and side make lifting and rolling comfortable. During a baggage check in the USA, security can open the TSA lock without damaging it.
The shell is made of Roxkin, a strong and light material by Samsonite. The suitcase is made in Europe. Clean the shell with a damp cloth, without abrasive cleaners. Then dry it and store the suitcase dry and open.
How heavy is the Proxis Spinner 55 when empty? The suitcase weighs 2.3 kg. That leaves more of your hand luggage weight limit for your own things.
Is the zip waterproof? Yes, the main compartment closes with a waterproof zip. That gives the contents better protection when the suitcase stands in the rain.
