The Samsonite Essens is a hard-shell polypropylene cabin suitcase measuring H 55 x W 40 x D 20 cm, with a capacity of 39 litres. It closes with a three-point closure instead of a zip and has a TSA combination lock and four double wheels. Available in Graphite Black, Charcoal/Red, Midnight Blue, Alpine Green, Yellow, Fog Blue and Sandstone.
How does the three-point closure work?
The Essens has no zip around the case, but closes with fixed clips at three points. You open and close the suitcase with a click. The TSA combination lock is built into the closure, so you can lock the suitcase without a separate padlock.
Is the Samsonite Essens suitable as cabin luggage?
At H 55 x W 40 x D 20 cm, the suitcase has a common cabin luggage size, which is also used by Ryanair. It weighs 2.8 kg when empty, leaving room for your belongings within the weight limit. Before your flight, always check your airline's current rules for size and weight.
How do you pack the Essens?
Inside, there are two removable and adjustable packing cubes. Fill them at home, place them in the suitcase and take them out all at once at your destination. The suitcase rolls on four double wheels and has a telescopic pull handle. The handles on the top and side make it easy to lift.
Material and care
The shell is made of polypropylene, 70% of which is recycled. The suitcase is made in Europe. Clean the outside with a damp cloth and mild soapy water, without abrasive cleaners. After a trip, wipe the wheels as well and leave the suitcase open to dry before storing it.
