Samsonite Paralux HS Spinner Exp cabin suitcase: expandable from 40 to 46 litres

The Samsonite Paralux HS Spinner Exp is a polypropylene cabin suitcase measuring H 55 x B 39 x D 23/26 cm, with a capacity of 40/46 litres. It has four double wheels, an expandable main compartment with a two-way zipper and a TSA combination lock. Available in Olive, Black, Stone Grey, Midnight Navy, Fog Blue and Coffee Bean.

Is the Samsonite Paralux HS Spinner Exp suitable as cabin luggage?

When closed, the suitcase measures 55 x 39 x 23 cm. This fits within the cabin baggage size used by many airlines. When you open the expansion, it becomes 26 cm deep and may be too large for the cabin. Always check your airline's current rules before your flight.

How does the Paralux expansion work?

The main compartment has an expansion zipper. When you open it, the capacity increases from 40 to 46 litres and the depth from 23 to 26 cm. This gives you room for an extra outfit or souvenirs on your return journey. Close the zipper again and the suitcase returns to its compact size.

How is the interior organised?

Inside, there is one zipped compartment and one compartment with packing straps to keep your clothes in place. Two mesh zip pockets keep small items such as chargers separate. You can pull the suitcase along using the telescopic handle and lift it by the handle on top.

Material and care

The shell is made of polypropylene, a lightweight and durable plastic. The empty suitcase weighs 2.9 kg. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they can cause scratches. After travelling, also wipe the wheels clean to prevent sand from getting stuck in them.

Frequently asked questions

What type of lock does the Paralux HS Spinner Exp have? The suitcase has a TSA combination lock for which you set the code yourself. Customs officials in the United States can open the lock with a special key without damaging it.

How much warranty do you get on this suitcase? Samsonite provides a 5-year warranty on the Paralux HS Spinner Exp.
