The Samsonite Respark Expandable is a soft carry-on suitcase made of 100% Recyclex, a recycled material. It measures H 55 x W 35 x D 22 cm and is 25 cm deep when expanded. The capacity then grows from 39 to 44 litres. It has four double wheels and a TSA combination lock. Available in Ozone Black, Midnight Blue and Forest Green.

Yes, the Respark Expandable is designed as hand luggage in line with the IATA guideline. At 55 x 35 x 25 cm it stays within the hand luggage size of airlines such as KLM and Transavia. Always check the current rules of your airline and what your ticket allows before you fly.

What fits in the Respark Expandable?

Inside, crossed packing straps keep your clothes in place during the journey. The mesh compartment holds small items and also fits a 15.6 inch laptop. The front pocket on the outside is for things you want to grab quickly on the way.

How do you wheel and lift the Respark Expandable?

The suitcase rolls on four smooth double wheels, so you can take it upright beside you. Use the telescopic handle to push or pull it through the terminal. With the top handle you lift it into the overhead locker above your seat. Empty, the suitcase weighs 2.5 kg.

Material and care

The outside is made of Recyclex: a sturdy, lightweight polyester made from 100% recycled material. Wipe away dirt with a damp cloth and a mild soapy solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners or bleach. Then let the suitcase dry open at room temperature before you store it.

How do you lock the Respark Expandable? All compartments close with a zip and can be locked with the TSA combination lock. If you travel to the United States, customs can open the lock with a TSA key without damaging it.

Which colours and warranty does the suitcase have? You can choose Ozone Black, Midnight Blue or Forest Green. Samsonite gives a 5-year warranty on the Respark Expandable.
