The Kapten & Son Helsinki Fleece is a backpack of 46 x 26.5 x 14 cm with a capacity of 17 litres. It has a 15.6-inch laptop compartment with a microfleece lining, an anti-theft pocket and a luggage strap. The outside combines soft fleece with recycled PET. Available in Mocha Brown.
The laptop compartment inside measures 41 x 25 x 2 cm and suits a 15.6-inch laptop or a 16-inch MacBook. There are two inner pockets, one of which has a zip. On the front you will find a large pocket and a small, flat pocket. The backpack also has room for a water bottle. With 17 litres you have plenty of space for a day at the office or at school.
The back is padded and the shoulder straps are padded and adjustable. This lets you set the backpack to your own height. The backpack weighs 1 kg. On the back is a luggage strap, which you slide over the telescopic handle of your suitcase when you travel.
The anti-theft pocket sits on the rear of the backpack, against your back. You keep your phone, passport or wallet there, out of reach of others. That is reassuring on the train, at a station or in a busy city.
The backpack is made of 90% recycled PET, 7% PU and 3% polyester. Remove dirt with a damp cloth, dab the fleece gently and do not rub too hard. Then let the backpack dry at room temperature.
Does a 16-inch MacBook fit in the Helsinki Fleece? Yes. Kapten & Son states that the compartment fits 15.6-inch laptops and the 16-inch MacBook.
Is the Helsinki Fleece suitable as hand luggage? At 46 x 26.5 x 14 cm, it fits within the hand luggage size of 55 x 40 x 20 cm that many airlines use. Always check with your airline.
