The Hide & Stitches Westland backpack is a 100% leather daypack measuring 29 x 27 x 9,5 cm, with a capacity of 7,44 litres. The spacious main compartment closes with a zip, there are extra zipped pockets and the two shoulder straps are adjustable. Available in black, cognac, taupe and dark brown.
The 7,44-litre main compartment has room for a tablet, a book, a pencil case and a small bottle of water. The extra zipped pockets keep your keys and phone separate from the rest. A 13 or 15-inch laptop does not fit, for that the Westland series has separate laptop bags.
The two shoulder straps are adjustable in length, so the backpack sits high on your back and distributes the weight across both shoulders. With a depth of 9,5 cm, the backpack keeps its shape even when it is half empty. The size is medium: large enough for a day, yet small enough for cycling and public transport.
All bags from the Westland series are made of 100% leather, with a polycotton lining and antique silver-coloured hardware. Leather develops its own shine through use and becomes slightly darker in areas that are touched often. This means that no two bags are exactly the same. Care is simple: wipe with a dry cloth and apply leather care a few times a year. If the bag gets wet, let it dry at room temperature and not on a radiator.
Is the Westland backpack suitable as a laptop backpack? No. The backpack has no laptop compartment. For a laptop, choose the Westland laptop bag 13,3 inch or 15,6 inch.
Which colour shows signs of use the least? Black and dark brown. Taupe is the lightest of the four colours and shows stains more easily.
