The Eastpak Padded Double is a rectangular backpack made of polyamide, measuring H 47 x W 28.5 x D 21 cm with a capacity of 24 litres. It weighs 500 grams and has a padded laptop compartment for 14 inch, two zipped front pockets and a bottle holder. Available in Powder Pilot and Black Denim.
The spacious zipped main compartment holds books, folders and your lunch. Inside there is a padded laptop compartment for a 14 inch laptop and an extra zip pocket for small items. The two zipped front pockets are handy for your charger, pens or earphones. Your water bottle goes in the bottle holder on the side.
The shoulder straps are padded and adjustable, so you can set the backpack to your own height. The padded back panel stops books and your laptop from pressing into your back. At 500 grams the backpack itself is light, so the weight is mainly in what you put in it. You can also pick it up by the handle.
On the back, against your back, there is a zip pocket. That is where you keep your wallet, phone or passport. Because this pocket sits against your back, it is harder for someone to reach it unnoticed while you wear the backpack.
The Padded Double is made of polyamide, a sturdy synthetic material. The material is water-repellent, but in heavy rain it is better to put your laptop in an extra sleeve. Clean the backpack with a damp cloth and some mild soapy water. Then let it dry open at room temperature.
Which laptop fits in the Padded Double? The padded laptop compartment is made for laptops up to 14 inch. A larger laptop does not fit well, so in that case choose a backpack with a bigger laptop compartment.
