The Castelijn & Beerens Rien Mini Wallet RFID with closure tab (52 0853) is a wallet of 10 x 6.9 x 1.4 cm that weighs 110 grams. It has an aluminium pop-up case for 7 cards, 2 leather card slots, a note compartment and a leather closure tab. The leather is hand-dyed bull leather. The colour is cognac.
The leather tab keeps the cover closed over the case. Notes and receipts stay inside, even when the wallet sits loose in a bag. The tab makes the wallet 10 grams heavier than the version without one.
Nine: 7 in the aluminium case and 2 in the card slots. Press the slider under the case and the cards slide up in a staggered row. An automatic lock then holds them in place.
Yes. The aluminium case works as RFID shielding for the chip on your debit and credit cards. You don't need to do anything for it.
The leather of the Rien series is bull leather that is dyed by hand. Castelijn & Beerens developed it with a partner tannery in Tuscany. The leather is vegetable-tanned following the guidelines of the Leather Working Group. The anodised aluminium is hard-wearing and corrosion-resistant. Wipe the leather now and then with a dry cloth. If it gets wet, let it dry at room temperature.

Why does the shade differ from wallet to wallet? The leather is dyed by hand. That makes every wallet a slightly different colour.
