The Castelijn & Beerens Rien Mini Wallet RFID (52 0852) is a compact wallet of 10 x 6.9 x 1.4 cm that weighs 100 grams. An aluminium pop-up case for 7 cards sits in a cover of hand-dyed bull leather, with 2 card slots and a note compartment. RFID protection is built in. The colour is cognac.
It holds 9 cards. Seven go in the aluminium case, two in the leather slots of the cover. The note compartment holds folded banknotes and receipts. There is no coin pocket.
There is a button below the case. When you press it, the cards slide up in a staggered row. An automatic lock then holds them firmly in place.

The leather of the Rien series is bull leather that has been dyed by hand. Castelijn & Beerens developed it together with a partner tannery in Tuscany. The leather is vegetable-tanned according to the guidelines of the Leather Working Group. As a result, every piece has its own shade. The cognac leather takes on a warmer, darker colour over time. Wipe it with a dry, soft cloth and use leather care a few times a year.
How is it different from the Rien Mini Wallet with closure strap? That one has the same size and layout, with a leather strap that keeps the cover closed.
