The Castelijn & Beerens Rien is a laptop bag in vegetable-tanned bull leather measuring H 30 x W 43 x D 6 cm. It has a shock-absorbing compartment for a 15.6-inch laptop, a separate tablet compartment, an RFID-protected pocket and room for A4 documents. Available in Cognac and Natural.
The roomy main compartment closes with a zip and takes A4 documents. Inside you find a side pocket, two zip pockets and three slip pockets. A key holder and a pen holder keep small items in place. At the back there is another zip pocket, handy for papers you want to grab quickly.
Your 15.6-inch laptop goes into a padded, shock-absorbing compartment. Your tablet gets its own compartment, so the devices don't rub against each other. In the RFID-protected pocket you keep your passport and bank cards. This pocket protects them against skimming.
You carry the Rien by two sturdy handles made of belt leather, attached to the bag with buckles. For longer distances you attach the adjustable shoulder strap. You can take it off again when you don't need it. When travelling, you slide the bag over the telescopic handle of your suitcase with the trolley strap.
The Rien is made of vegetable-tanned bull leather with a natural grain. The lining is nylon with the Castelijn & Beerens logo. Wipe the bag clean with a dry, soft cloth and use a leather care product now and then. If the bag gets wet, let it dry at room temperature.
How heavy is the Castelijn & Beerens Rien? The Rien weighs about 950 grams. That is the weight of the empty bag, without laptop, tablet or documents.
Can you also use the Rien as a school bag? Yes, with the space for A4 documents and the laptop compartment, the Rien also works well for school or university.
