The Castelijn & Beerens Gaucho Billfold RFID (42 4190) is a men's wallet made of cowhide leather, measuring 9,5 x 11 x 2 cm (H x W x D) and weighing 100 grams. It has 9 card slots, two banknote compartments, a coin pocket and RFID protection. Available in black, mocca and cognac.
It holds 9 cards. Some of the card slots are on a fold-out section. This lets you take out each card without removing the others. The coin pocket closes with a press stud and keeps your coins separate from your cards. At the back, two full-width compartments hold banknotes and receipts.
The leather contains an RFID foil. It prevents someone from secretly reading the data on your payment cards wirelessly, for example on a busy train or shopping street. You do not need to do anything yourself: the protection always works.
The Gaucho is made of cowhide leather treated with a transparent dye. This keeps the natural grain visible and the leather becomes slightly darker over the years. The C&B logo is featured on the front inside a leather oval. Wipe the leather clean occasionally with a dry, soft cloth. Apply leather care a few times a year to keep it supple. Castelijn & Beerens has been making leather goods since 1945 and offers a 2-year warranty.
What is the difference between black, mocca and cognac? Black stays the same colour for years. Mocca is a deep dark brown. Cognac is the lightest colour and becomes noticeably darker over time.
Is there a more compact Gaucho? Yes. If you are only looking for a card holder, the Gaucho credit card case from the same collection is a smaller option.
