The Castelijn & Beerens Croco RFID Card Holder (46 0851) is a card holder of 9.9 x 6.2 x 1.3 cm that weighs 90 grams. It has an aluminium case for 7 cards with a pop-up mechanism, and a leather slot for 1 extra card. The outside is bull leather with a croc print. RFID protection is built in. Available in red, mocha and black.
There is a button at the bottom of the case. When you press it, the 7 cards slide up in a staggered row. That way you see straight away which card you need. An automatic lock then holds the cards in place, so they do not fall out.
The aluminium case holds 7 bank or credit cards. The leather slot on the outside is for an eighth card, such as a public transport card, or for a few receipts. At 1.3 cm thick, the holder fits in a trouser pocket or a small bag.
The aluminium case shields the chip of your cards. That way nobody can secretly read the data on your bank card or credit card wirelessly. You do not have to do anything for it yourself.
Castelijn & Beerens developed the leather of the Croco series together with a partner tannery in Tuscany. It is bull leather with an embossed croc print. The leather is vegetable-tanned according to the guidelines of the Leather Working Group. The aluminium is anodised. This layer makes the surface hard and protects it against corrosion. Wipe the leather clean now and then with a dry, soft cloth and give it leather care a few times a year.
How is it different from the Croco Mini Wallet? The Mini Wallet has the same aluminium case, but with a leather cover. The cover has a note compartment and two slots, so it holds 9 cards in total.
What colour is the croc print? The print has the colour of the leather: red, mocha (dark brown) or black.
