The Bear Design Monique is a small cow leather shoulder bag measuring H 19,5 x W 18 x D 3 cm and weighing 370 grams. Three compartments open like an accordion, while the shoulder strap is adjustable and detachable. Available in Silver Mink, Bruin, Ice, Cognac, Black, Pewter, Blue, Green and Red.
The bag is small, but has room for your phone, keys and wallet. The middle compartment closes with an extra zip, so you can keep cards and cash separate. Inside, there is a phone compartment and a small zipped pocket. The back zip pocket is handy for items you want to reach quickly.
The three compartments are folded like an accordion. If you carry only a few items, the bag stays flat against your body. When it is fuller, it opens up into a roomier model. There is also a zip pocket on the front, with the zip neatly concealed in the seam.
The shoulder strap is adjustable and detachable. Wear the bag crossbody, close to your shoulder, or remove the strap and carry it as a clutch. Worn crossbody, it keeps your hands free, for example when cycling or walking through a busy city.
The Monique is made from 100% cow leather from the Cow Lavato series by Bear Design. This washed leather feels supple and has a lightly mottled texture. Wipe the bag with a dry, soft cloth and use leather care occasionally. If the leather gets wet, let it dry at room temperature and not on a radiator.
Is the Monique heavy to carry all day? No, the bag weighs 370 grams. Even with your phone, keys and wallet inside, it stays light on your shoulder.
Will the leather show signs of use? Yes, washed leather develops its own character with use. Small marks bring out the colour nuances even more. This is part of the character of Cow Lavato leather.
