The Aunts & Uncles Yunoko RE is a rolltop backpack made of recycled nylon, measuring approximately 42 x 17,5 x 52-58 cm and offering 20 to 23,4 litres of space. It has a padded laptop compartment for laptops up to 16 inches, a main compartment that opens all the way around with a zipper, and side pockets for a bottle. Available in Outer Space and Volcano Grey.
The main compartment is large enough for A4 folders. It contains a padded laptop compartment for a laptop up to 16 inches and another large slip pocket. Inside, you will find a zipped pocket, a card pocket, a phone pocket, two pen holders and a key cord. There is a zipped pocket on the front, and the side pockets fit a drinking bottle.
Roll up the top and fasten it with magnets and a leather strap with a buckle. There is another zipper on the main compartment underneath the rolltop. A second zipper around the bag opens the main compartment completely, making packing easy. The capacity expands in both height and depth.
The back panel is ergonomically padded. The shoulder straps are padded too, and a chest strap keeps the backpack securely in place. There is a leather handle on top. It is the larger version of the Tokachi RE, for anyone who likes to carry a little more.
For the Japan RE range, Aunts & Uncles developed the REnuno fabric. It is made of recycled nylon with a GRS certificate. An impregnation treatment and a PFAS-free coating make the fabric water-repellent. The details are made of cowhide from an LWG-certified tannery. Remove dirt with a soft cloth, water and mild soap. Do not use leather grease, oil or alcohol on the nylon. Keep the leather details supple by occasionally applying a lotion for leather.
Does a 16-inch laptop fit in the Yunoko RE? Yes. The padded laptop compartment fits laptops up to 16 inches.
Is the Yunoko RE waterproof? No, it is water-repellent. The fabric has an impregnation treatment and a PFAS-free coating, and the zippers are water-repellent.
