The Aunts & Uncles Kawaguchi is a laptop backpack made of coated organic cotton, measuring approximately 32 x 15.5 x 43 cm and offering around 16 litres of space. It has a padded 15-inch laptop compartment, a large zipped front pocket and cow leather details. The fabric is water-repellent. It is available in Pewter, a warm shade of grey, and Circular Grey, a light grey shade.
The main compartment closes with a zip and is large enough for A4 folders. It contains a padded compartment for a laptop up to 15 inches and a tablet compartment. Inside, you will also find a zipped pocket, a phone pocket, two slip pockets and two pen holders. There is a large zipped pocket on the front and a zipped pocket on the back for items you want to keep close at hand.
The shoulder straps are padded and adjustable, so the backpack sits comfortably on your back. A sturdy handle at the top makes it easy to pick up or hang on a hook. The backpack weighs 1.09 kg. Aunts & Uncles designed it for everyday use, studying and travelling.
Yes. The fabric has a soft coating that makes water bead off, and the YKK zips have a waterproof coating. The backpack is water-repellent, not waterproof.
For the Japan line, Aunts & Uncles developed WABIkawa fabric: densely woven canvas made of GOTS-certified organic cotton with a PFAS-free coating. This coating gives the fabric a leather-like look and develops a shine with use. The cow leather details come from an LWG-certified tannery. Remove dirt with a soft cloth, water and mild soap. Do not use leather grease or alcohol on the canvas. Keep the leather details supple with leather lotion.
Does a 15-inch laptop fit in the Kawaguchi? Yes. The main compartment has a padded 15-inch laptop compartment and a separate tablet compartment.
Is the Kawaguchi suitable for school or studying? Yes. A4 folders fit in the main compartment, and there are pen holders and slip pockets for your belongings.
