Our origins: 1974, one product and a stall
ByMetz.nl was founded in 1974 under the name Metz Leather Goods. What started with the sale of just one type of product on the market, has now grown into a real family business with hundreds different products in the range. That market mentality — honest advice, personal contact and quality for a competitive price — is still in everything we do.
Three generations, one passion
Founder Dyan Metz is still as active as in his younger years. That's why there are these days no less than 3 generations at the same time active in this family business. This ensures an ideal balance: years of experience and product knowledge, combined with fresh ideas, new trends and modern service.
And let's be honest: we are always busy with the trade and our customers - even on birthdays we can't avoid it. You will notice this commitment in our advice, our selection and in the way we think along with you.

We update our collection continues and adds weekly new items to our range. This way we always stay close to the latest trends, without losing sight of the proven classics.
Markets & shops: a unique interplay
One half of the family at the market and the other half in the shop — a unique combination in the Netherlands! Metz Lederwaren is currently active as a group on 12 different markets per week. This allows us to have many customers meet in person, show products and think directly about it.
